Group Visits
We can offer bespoke group events and outings to bigger groups. As part of WildLuing if you hire all of our WildSuites you then have use of our communal area, the Observatory. This includes a dining area, a window seating area looking across the water, a relaxing lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen for communal cooking and 2 toilets. The Observatory is a great area for group meals and a social space for family and friend gatherings, particularly if the connected outdoor decking area and picnic tables are used. The site holds 16 people in the WildSuites so it still provides an intimate, small gathering space.
In addition to this, for groups larger than 8 people we can also organise a number of specific events or trips. These are made bespoke to your group - please get in contact with us for more information and pricing for your visit. We can’t wait to assist you in your exploration of our Scottish Island home and wild adventures.
Bespoke group activities or outings during your stay or visit that could be arranged include:
Trip to island of Jura (an hour boat crossing). This could include stopping at Ardlussa and the Lussa Gin distillery.
Trip across to Scarba (a wild uninhabited island) for exploration, hiking or a bespoke bothy picnic or meal by our in house cook using local produce. Enjoy a wild adventure on this island. This quick 15 minute boat crossing may be short but it feels like a different world on this wild Island.
Farm tour on Luing. This includes sheep farming and our Luing Cattle - a beef cattle breed developed on the Island itself by the Cadzow family in 1947. Archie and Jack who are brothers and third generation farmers; are leading the farm forwards with diversifying including increasing biodiversity and mixed habitats including Peatland restoration.
Dining experiences in our sociable Observatory area at WildLuing by our inhouse cook using local Luing produce such as our Luing Beef, Langoustines, Oysters, Lamb, Game and Venison.
Whisky and Gin tasting bespoke events in our Observatory communal area.
‘We absolutely LOVED staying at Wild Luing and would come back in a heartbeat! In fact if we run the retreat next summer which we hope to do we would love to stay for 3 nights with you. It was so peaceful and relaxing to be surrounded by such beauty both inside and outside the pods and lovely to feel so secluded after a busy few days on Gigha and at Kilmartin Glen. It was the perfect place to relax, reflect and absorb the surrounding beauty. I was superseded at how spacious the observatory is, it was ideal for group work with plenty of space for yoga, eating and lounging. We also used the outdoor deck to gather on which was stunning with the backdrop behind. Everyone loved the pods which were perfectly thought out, incredibly comfortable and just what the group needed. Kitty’s food was delicious!! Wow. And she was so kind and helpful.’
