Tastes of WildLuing with The Wild Cooke
The main event will be on the Saturday. Lucy who is based in Oban will lead a local Luing late summer foraging session in the morning, followed by a light buffet lunch incorporating some of the foraged finds. WildLuing is based on the shoreline and it is a great time of year to explore the shoreline and hedgerows for wild edibles which Luing has in abundance.
Then guests will have some free time in the afternoon to either relax in their WildSuites overlooking the sea or explore the island. The evening will commence with a ‘Learn to drink like a Forager’ workshop with Lucy in the stunning observatory communal area, overlooking the water and Torsa island in the distance. This will be followed by a feast of local produce prepared in house by WildLuing. The island of Luing is fortunate to boost a plethora of local produce including Luing Beef and seafood amongst others which WildLuing will be showcasing on the night. We hope you can join us for the weekend!

About the Collaborators:
WildLuing: has always had family at its heart. Just married in 2022, Emily and Jack started with a concept, and with the help of mum, dad, and brother Archie, WildLuing was born. The Cadzow family have been on Luing for three generations and are an integral part of the local economy and island community. Joined by a small staff team of locals this is a small family business. What began as a dream to build the ultimate space for comfort and relaxation in the midst of working farmland is now a reality. With 8 self-catering glamping suites overlooking otters and seals in Torsa bay; Emily, Jack and Archie worked with local craftspeople to bring WildLuing to life. Our WildSuites are where luxury accommodation meets raw Atlantic beauty.
Furthermore, Luing is teeming with delicious treats. From both the land and the waters surrounding, a mouthwatering array of produce can be enjoyed during your stay. From Jack, Emily and Archie’s own produce reared on the farm, to selected local suppliers there’s something for everyone. This land offers rich bounty in its natural produce including Luing Beef, Venison and Oysters.
Coupled with a love of food and being outside she has managed to create the perfect business for her! As well as experimenting in the kitchen, wild foods have led Lucy to explore themes of belonging, collectivity and wellbeing in her work; she is currently developing a discussion around foraging as therapy. After having her daughter Mara in 2022 life has got even more colourful, and with a move to the wonderful coastal town of Oban Lucy is now able to offer her business in Argyll.
