Coming to the Island of Luing this year is a very exciting new event. A Whisky and Gin tasting evening! A perfect summer evening on Luing Island.
WildLuing are teaming up with local business Ooshka bar to offer visitors and locals a chance to enjoy a tipple and fresh West coast produce. The day will run 6-8pm on Saturday 13th July 2024.
Ooshka bar, who are based in Oban will lead a tasting session of West Coast gins and whiskies. Alongside this WildLuing will be providing grazing platters made inhouse by the team showcasing the best local produce including Luing seafood and meats. This event will be held in the stunning observatory communal area, overlooking the water and Torsa island in the distance. We hope you can join us for the evening! Tickets are £50 per person and includes all drinks and food provided. Dietary requirements can be catered for in advance. Please state details when booking.
Book one of our WildSuites to stay overnight, make a weekend of it or still be in time for the last car or foot ferry back to the mainland! Please go to our online shop to book your ticket. We have just 20 tickets. WildLuing is accessible by a short 5-minute ferry across from the mainland and only 30 minutes’ drive from the town of Oban, which has regular connections by train, bus, and ferry.

WildLuing: WildLuing has always had family at its heart. Just married in 2022, Emily and Jack started with a concept, and with the help of mum, dad, and brother Archie, WildLuing was born. The Cadzow family have been on Luing for three generations and are an integral part of the local economy and island community. Joined by a small staff team of locals this is a small family business. With 8 self-catering glamping suites overlooking otters and seals in Torsa bay; Emily, Jack and Archie worked with local craftspeople to bring WildLuing to life. Our WildSuites are where luxury accommodation meets raw Atlantic beauty.
Furthermore, Luing is teeming with delicious treats. From both the land and the waters surrounding, a mouthwatering array of produce can be enjoyed during your stay. From Jack, Emily and Archie’s own produce reared on the farm, to selected local suppliers there’s something for everyone. This land offers rich bounty in its natural produce including Luing Beef, Venison and Oysters.
