Les Artistes Petits

Hello Wildlings!

We recently had the Delvaux family staying with us, and mum and dad (Phillipe and Valentine) have some very talented young artists! Alec and Pier drew these pictures in the Insh visitor’s book, and we absolutely love them.

“This place was amazing and I loved the long walks we did, I loved the idea of the observatory, it made my brother and I meet new friends! Thank you for everything!”

- Alec, 10

Alec has drawn a beautiful sunset over the sea, complete with birds and a sailing boat. There’s even a pink line across the horizon where the sunset colours are reflecting off the water. Pier has drawn one of our WildSuites, and has very cleverly shown the kitchen inside and did a great job of drawing the corrugated roof!

“I loved it, it was so cool”

- Pier, 7

Well done Pier and Alec - Here’s what the Delvauxs had to say about their stay:

“Nicely protected in the pods during 2 windy and rainy nights. We spent the most amazing day walking with the eagles, cows, and sheep across the island, showered by a magically warm rain. We loved this place and will come back. Thank you for sharing the privilege of Luing with us.” - Phillipe, Valentine, and Jill

The Delvauxs clearly made the best of their stay - as simple as it sounds, a good walk is the best way to appreciate our island, which has many different sides to it. Anyone familiar with Scotland knows that it’s best to plan for wet weather, and to enjoy every minute of sunshine when it comes, but it sounds like the Delvauxs had a great time in the rain and know exactly how to enjoy Scotland to the fullest. We include a map of local walks in the handbook in every suite, and are happy to give directions to our guests anytime.

Tìoraidh,

Lottie
